Bach’s Suite No. 2 in D minor for Solo Cello, a work of profound introspection and architectural clarity that showcases the expressive depth and technical command of the cello in its purest form.

The atmosphere shifts into the lush, soaring lyricism of Sergei Rachmaninov’s Sonata for Piano and Cello in G minor, where piano and cello intertwine in sweeping melodies, shimmering textures, and dramatic interplay. Written at the height of Rachmaninov’s early maturity, the sonata is at once intimate and symphonic in scale.
